PRENATAL DIAGNOSTIC UNIT:
3D AND 4D ULTRASOUNDS

Prenatal Diagnosis Unit: 3D and 4D Ultrasound

WHAT IS THE PRENATAL DIAGNOSTIC UNIT?

The Embriogyn Prenatal Diagnosis Unit: 3D and 4D ultrasound scans, is the reference unit in its specialty throughout the province, to offer a comprehensive service in the early diagnosis of fetal diseases during pregnancy. In fact, the unit is the reference in Fetal Pathology for many of the province’s gynaecologist colleagues.

In general, the control of the pregnancy and of the mother-to-be is carried out by their gynecologist specializing in obstetrics and, these women, are also referred to the Embriogyn Fetal Medicine Unit for specific control of their baby.

There are different key moments to check the correct development of the baby, thus ensuring that it does not suffer from any genetic disease or in the future newborn.

The Prenatal Diagnosis and 3D and 4D Ultrasound unit offers and uses all the tests currently available in the field of fetal medicine, from the hands of highly trained specialists and state-of-the-art technology.

HOW DOES THE PRENATAL DIAGNOSTIC UNIT WORK: 3D and 4D ULTRASOUND

The patient’s gynaecologist can request the performance of the prenatal tests that he or she considers appropriate, according to his or her gestation control plan, or the patient herself can go to the Embriogyn Fetal Medicine Clinic of her own free will.

Once the process has begun, we will make an appointment and explain to you what each test consists of, based on the specific medical and genetic advice in each case, to help you make decisions, accompanying you at every step.

In addition, we make a complete report of each test and ultrasound performed, which will be given to you with a copy for your gynecologist.

Prenatal control of the fetus during pregnancy can be divided into three different stages that correspond to the three quarters that the gestation of a human baby lasts.
